The Hampton School District One Board of Trustees will host a recognition and drop-in for Dr. Terry O’Neal Pruitt on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Dr. Pruitt will be honored for his thirteen years of service to Hampton School District One. The recognition and drop-in will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at the Wade Hampton High School cafeteria. The public is cordially invited to attend.

A Musical Challenge!

Miss Sydney Dobson was chosen from thousands of applicants across South Carolina to participate in the South Carolina Elementary Honors Choir. She had a repertoire of 6 different songs and she rose to this challenge admirably! She and her teacher, Mrs. Vicki Jacobi, worked long, hard hours which has brought out another shinning star from Fennell. Congratulations to both!

Congratulations to Miss Bre'Ann Barrett.

She is Fennell's National Geographic Geography Bee winner for the 2007-2008 school year. Bre'Ann is now eligible to compete with other winners in the state of South Carolina. Good Luck, Bre'Ann!

has once again become the recipient of the

Palmetto Gold and Silver Award Program.

This award goes to schools whose students' performance has dramatically improved. This is the second gold award for Fennell.

Welcome to Fennell Elementary School for the 2007 – 2008 school year where education is better than ever. We will be emphasizing throughout the school year that we are now in an era of accountability. Therefore, all teachers and paraprofessionals are encouraged to follow Hampton One curriculum and pacing guides in order that we can provide quality instruction for each student. Please give your enthusiastic support in making this school year one of high academic achievement.
Together we have built a school climate that provides comfort and acceptability for all employees. Therefore, we must continue to be greatly concerned about each student. Let us not fall short of our school philosophy in providing a warm and caring place for our boys and girls to feel comfortable with a degree of pride about learning.
