         It is always a pleasure to welcome teachers, staff, stakeholders, students,  parents, community members and volunteers to our campus. We are a community school, striving to create a family-like climate in the classroom setting.  It is our mission to set the stage for school and homes to grow and develop together.  We invite all parents to join us as partners for a successful school year.  Parental involvement will make us stronger and better.  Join us in this endeavor to provide quality education to all of our students.
         At Fennell Elementary, the Family is a vital segment of our community of learners.  We provide for adult education, child care, a community garden, and a technology center serving the community.  We are a school of readers and writers.  Therefore, we invite parents to become readers and writers too. A strong reading program will build a framework for success.  Therefore, at Fennell Elementary,  we set high expectations for academic and behavioral growth to ensure that every child be successful in a family-friendly environment.

Students from Estill High School Fill Back Packs
At Fennell Elementary's Gym

Students from Wade Hampton High School, Estill High School, Youth Action Council Members, South Carolina AHEC, Health Careers Academy and community members volunteer to pack the back packs for elementary students throughout Hampton County. "Back Pack Buddies" goal is to address the hunger issue in our county. Students are given back packs filled with non-perishable, nutritous food on fridays. The food is donated by the LowCountry Food Bank.
The Hampton County Hunger Initiative is also a key  participant.
